The technology is ready for electricity to be smart. It is already possible to make communication between utility and customer be bidirectional and thereby greater efficiency can be achieved in the systems. The Austrian company Fronius will present its solutions in this field for both local networks of single-family homes to national networks.
The expectation will be high at the Intersolar 2016 Fair, from 22 through 24 June in Munich (Germany) because the company Fronius will show its solutions to maximize the intelligence and efficiency of energy systems for both local networks of single-family homes to national networks.
In addition, a variety of useful products, technologies and services for owners of photovoltaic installations, installers and project planners will offer electricity distributors the possibility to easily integrate more renewable energy into their networks.
«The road to 24 hours of sunshine inevitably means having a smart and efficient energy system. We will present this vision in the form of different solutions which help to generate, store, distribute and consume solar energy efficiently and smartly,» explains Martin Hackl.
Photovoltaic power
In many countries, increasingly electricity distributors require to limit the PV power to be coupled to the network, which in many cases might mean zero power. By reducing the dynamic power, Fronius offers a solution that manages electricity feeding to perfection. Thus, the inverter feeds first consumers of housing and then reduces their power to reach maximum allowable current supply. In some cases a zero power may occur, ie, photovoltaics are not fed into the network. The requirements of the electricity distributor can be met through easy adjustment in the web interface of the inverter.
Smart management of energy flows
Managing energy flows smartly offers many advantages for the customer. Multi Flow Technology developed by Fronius, can control in parallel the various energy flows of the storage system.
In practice, this allows several application options. Fronius Symo Hybrid inverter, for example, has all built-in functions to make it possible to integrate it at any time in a storage solution. The size of the storage battery adapts to the installation owner´s energy consumption and can also be extended at any time.
Moreover, not only is it possible to very easily integrate a Fronius storage system into existing photovoltaic systems, but it can also be integrated into wind turbines or thermoelectric plants. In cases where replacing a defective inverter of a photovoltaic installation is necessary the Fronius Symo Hybrid makes it very easy. Depending on the situation, the facility owner can decide whether to directly install a storage battery or incorporate it later. Fronius system is also prepared for future applications as, for example, flexible electricity rates.
Thanks to all these possible applications, the owner of the installation, the installer and the project manager can work more efficiently. Fronius storage solution sets new standards in the solar market by providing a solution that is a step closer to 24 hours of sunshine.
Optimizing self-consumption
Fronius presents for the first time its new solution for the optimization of self-consumption. «Heat generation has become an important issue, also including the ability to integrate it in the energy management,» says Martin Hackl.
