The Spanish company Norvento will present in the framework of Ecobuild 2017 – one of the main events for the design, construction and sustainable architecture worldwide -, its line of smart renewable technology for corporate buildings and headquarters, with which it intends to be at the forefront of sustainable building.
With more than 35 years of experience in the field of renewable energy, Norvento has expanded its capabilities to the field of sustainable and smart buildings, with the aim that the energy systems of the new buildings take advantage of the opportunity represented by a new production, storage and energy management model based on renewables and self-consumption.
Norvento’s engineering actions and projects in the field of building aim to ensure maximum reduction of the building energy needs, achieve a super-efficiency in consumption and minimize its carbon footprint.
Smart renewable technology
In this sense, a key element is to provide the buildings with their own micro-grids that integrate multiple renewable technologies (wind, solar photovoltaic, geothermal, etc.) for energy self-consumption, backed by battery-based storage systems.
All of this makes it possible to have buildings characterized by being much more economically and environmentally sustainable, much more autonomous and with greater resilience capacity compared to excessive energy dependence or supply risks. In short, it is about buildings that are governed by authentic energy intelligence.
Norvento aims to make sustainable energy engineering services for buildings one of its main axes for international expansion starting in 2017, a pillar that would synergistically be added to the other strategic business of distributed generation for industrial self-consumption, where it is already reaping important successes in countries around us, such as the United Kingdom.
In the words of Manuel Pinilla, commercial director of Norvento, » building is not alien to the evolution of the energy sector, and is becoming more prominent in the value chain of energy. Taking advantage of natural resources through the integration of renewable sources in buildings and being more efficient in consumption we can achieve a balance between sustainability and economic efficiency”.
